HyperX has expanded its gaming peripheral range in 2026, with parent company HP unveiling a fresh line-up designed for casual players, dedicated gamers and streamers alike. While no new gaming laptops or desktop computers accompanied the reveal, the announcement introduced the brand’s first open-back headphones, its lightest mouse to date and several other accessories aimed at improving the gaming experience across a range of price points.
The collection keeps the emphasis firmly on gamers, though certain products, such as the SoloCast 2 Pro microphone, appear better suited to content creators. With varied pricing throughout the range, there is something intended for most types of user.
Cloud Air Alpha: the first open-back HyperX headset
The Cloud Air Alpha marks HyperX’s first open-back gaming headset. The open earcup design allows more external noise to filter through, giving players greater situational awareness while retaining game audio quality. This may prove useful for anyone who needs to remain aware of their surroundings during extended play sessions.
An integrated bass tube is included to boost low-end audio, and connectivity options cover USB-C, USB-A, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB dongle. Audio customisation is handled through the HyperX Ngenuity software. The Cloud Air Alpha is priced at around £120 and is scheduled for release in September 2026.
Pulsefire Haste 3: a full suite of new mice
HP is releasing three new Pulsefire Haste 3 mice, each targeting a different subset of casual, hobbyist and hard-core gamers, with pricing to match.
The Pulsefire Haste 3 wired mouse is the entry-level model in the range. It weighs 68 grams including its non-detachable USB-A cable, giving it a lightweight feel despite being permanently tethered. It offers up to 16,000 DPI sensitivity, 300 IPS speeds and 35G acceleration, delivering enough precision for the average gamer. The wired mouse is priced at approximately £32 and is due for release in September 2026.
The wired and wireless Pulsefire Haste 3 mice share a very similar form, particularly when the wireless dongle is fitted, making the two models difficult to distinguish at a glance.
The wider peripheral line-up reflects HyperX’s continued focus on gaming hardware, with the SoloCast 2 Pro microphone positioned as a strong option for streamers and content creators who require higher audio quality for their recordings and broadcasts.
The Cloud Air Alpha headset and the Pulsefire Haste 3 wired mouse are both scheduled to arrive in September 2026.
