PS Plus subscribers are in for one of the service’s strongest months of 2026, with a run of critically acclaimed titles arriving throughout August. With every publisher racing to release games ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6 in November, Sony is bolstering its subscription library with several notable additions.
PS Plus is Sony’s answer to Xbox Game Pass, offering a large and continually expanding catalogue of games. Subscribers can pick from the Essential, Extra and Premium tiers, each with its own perks and benefits. Plans start at roughly £9 a month, granting access to games and rewards, and each month all subscribers can play a selection of new titles at no extra cost.
Those on the PS Plus Extra or Premium tiers can begin claiming the newest additions from Wednesday.
The Standout Titles Coming to the Service
Helldivers 2 launched in 2024 and swiftly became one of the biggest multiplayer games of the year. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, it casts players as Helldivers, soldiers defending Super Earth from alien and robotic threats. Up to four players can team up to tackle missions, though things can rapidly unravel when calling in airstrikes, turrets and other powerful weapons. Its ultra-patriotic tone, reminiscent of Starship Troopers, makes it a strong pick for action fans who also appreciate satire. The game is available for Extra and Premium subscribers from Wednesday.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 returns players to 15th-century Bohemia, where protagonist Henry becomes caught up in a war between rival nobles. Developed by Warhorse Studios, the RPG builds on its predecessor with a far larger world, deeper quests and a commitment to making medieval life feel as realistic as possible. There is no magic or fantasy here, just sword fights, political intrigue and countless opportunities for Henry to land himself in trouble. The game was nominated for numerous industry awards, including Game of the Year, and arrives for Extra and Premium subscribers on 18 August.
Vampire Survivors looks deceptively simple, and that is precisely what makes it so compulsive. You control a character who attacks automatically while you move around the map, collecting experience and selecting new weapons and upgrades as ever-larger swarms of enemies close in. A run can begin with a handful of bats and skeletons before descending into complete chaos, with dozens of weapons and upgrades combining to turn your character into an unstoppable force. It becomes available to Extra and Premium subscribers from 18 August.
A Supernatural Mystery Rounds Out the Lineup
Hell Is Us places players in the war-torn country of Hadea, where a mysterious supernatural disaster has produced creatures unlike anything else in the game. Protagonist Rémi returns to his homeland seeking answers about his past, but the title’s most distinctive feature is how much it withholds. There are no traditional quest markers or map guiding you between objectives, so paying attention to conversations and the environment genuinely matters. Combat blends melee weapons with a drone, adding another layer to the exploration-focused design.
