Apple has expanded its US manufacturing operations with a new Houston centre intended to support American manufacturing through education and shared resources. The facility offers free training aimed at strengthening the domestic industrial base.
Free training for small and medium businesses
On Thursday, Apple opened its 20,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) in Houston, Texas. The centre provides free training for small and medium-sized businesses, giving them access to expertise and tools designed to help develop the next generation of US manufacturers.
The initiative reflects Apple’s continued investment in building manufacturing capability within the United States, with a focus on education and practical resources for smaller firms that might otherwise lack access to advanced production know-how.
Shared site with AI server and Mac mini production
The AMC is housed within the same facility that produces Apple’s AI servers. The site is also scheduled to begin Mac mini production in late 2026, adding a further consumer hardware line to the Houston operation.
By locating the training centre alongside active production lines, Apple positions the facility as both a manufacturing hub and a learning environment, allowing participating businesses to observe and engage with advanced production processes directly on site.
