The lineup is set to comprise two models: the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. According to the Google Play Console entries, there are five variants of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and three variants of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
Model numbers and codenames
The Wi-Fi-only version of the Galaxy Tab S12+ carries the codename “gts12pwifi” and the model designation SM-X840. The Wi-Fi-only variant of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is listed under the codename “gts12uwifi” and the model number SM-X940. The presence of multiple model designations for each tablet points to additional connectivity options being prepared alongside the Wi-Fi editions.
Expected launch window
Samsung has confirmed that it intends to unveil the Galaxy Tab S12 series during the second half of 2026, though the company has not provided a precise date. The preceding Galaxy Tab S11 series, made up of the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, was introduced in September, which suggests the new lineup could arrive around a similar period.
