The Redmi Watch 6 Active has been made official, arriving with a large battery, an AMOLED display and support for more than 140 sports modes. The wearable is already listed in Xiaomi’s Chinese online store, priced at CNY 349 (roughly £40), and is offered in Gunmetal, Pink Orange and Silver colourways.
Display, design and connectivity
At the heart of the device is a 1.85-inch AMOLED screen with a 390×450 resolution and 1,200-nit peak brightness. The plastic case measures 9.9mm thick, and the watch weighs 26g without the strap fitted. It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for everyday wear.
Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.3 and BLE, allowing users to make calls directly from the wrist via Bluetooth. The Redmi Watch 6 Active can be paired with devices running Android 8.0 and above, as well as iOS 14.0 and above, broadening its appeal across both major mobile platforms.
Battery life and health tracking
Powering the watch is a sizeable 470 mAh battery. Xiaomi advertises up to six days of use with the always-on display enabled, extending to twelve days without it, and as much as 18 days in power-saving mode. This positions the device as a longer-lasting option among budget wearables.
On the health front, the watch includes an accelerometer and a heart rate monitor that also supports blood oxygen tracking. Beyond the extensive selection of over 140 sports modes, it monitors sleep, stress and calories burned, and provides breathing and relaxation exercises to support wellbeing.
Based on previous leaks, the Redmi Watch 6 Active is expected to reach Europe in the near future.
