The OPPO Reno16 Series arrives as a mid-range line-up aimed squarely at young creators, blending mobile creativity tools with a design intended to stand out from rivals. The range comprises the Reno16 Pro, Reno16, and Reno16 F, each equipped with new AI features for editing, remixing, and combining images and videos, an industry-first 3D Pop Planet Design on the rear, and versatile triple-camera systems across the line-up.
OPPO frames the series as a way to bring flagship-level features to buyers who want mid-range prices, positioning the phones for creators and adventurers alike.
A distinctive 3D Pop Planet design
Each Reno generation introduces something new, and the Reno16 Series is no exception. In Pop White, the phones feature an ethereal, floating nebula-inspired graphic on the back known as the 3D Pop Planet. This is achieved through HoloVerse 3D Technology, which houses millions of micro-lenses beneath the transparent glass.
The result is a graphic that appears to float slightly outside the phone. As light strikes it from different angles, the micro-lenses inside distort and reflect it differently, creating a surreal floating effect. Mid-range handsets rarely deliver such flourishes, which helps set the series apart. The frame is built with aerospace-grade aluminium to complete the premium look and feel.
OPPO Bubble accessory and camera tools
The new OPPO Bubble is a companion accessory designed to work alongside the Reno16 Series. It is a circular puck with a display that attaches magnetically to the phone when used with a compatible magnetic case or sticker.
The Bubble can serve as a viewfinder for selfies taken with the 200 MP main camera of the Reno16 Pro, and it works as a remote shutter for a paired phone at up to 10 metres away. When idle, it can remain on the phone to display personalised graphics, or it can be clipped to a bag, pocket, belt loop, or clothing as a charm.
Camera and editing sit at the heart of the range. The selfie camera has been built as a usable vlogging tool, pairing a 50 MP sensor with a 100-degree ultra-wide angle to fit more into the shot. A new 4K Auto Straighten system keeps footage stable while walking and vlogging on the move, while Dual View Video 2.0 records with both the rear and front cameras at once to capture the user’s expression alongside the scene.
Across the line-up, the triple-camera systems and AI editing suite are designed to make capturing and editing content straightforward and engaging for creators.
