Honor Watch 6 Pro: Dual-Layer OLED, HRV and CGM Tracking

Honor Watch 6 Pro: Dual-Layer OLED, HRV and CGM Tracking
The Honor Watch 6 Pro packs a 1.5in dual-layer OLED, 24/7 HRV, CGM blood sugar tracking and cardiac arrest detection, priced from around £180.

The Honor Watch 6 Pro arrives as a more capable variant of the Watch 6 line, trading some battery endurance for an expanded set of health and tracking features. Where the standard Watch 6 focused on longevity, the new Pro model prioritises measurement precision and a brighter display.

At the front sits a 1.5in dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. It reaches 4,500 nits of peak global brightness, rising to 5,500 nits when only a smaller region of the screen is active. The watch measures 46.3mm x 46.3mm x 11.6mm and features a stainless steel bezel.

Health tracking and safety features

The Pro places a strong emphasis on wellbeing monitoring. It offers 24/7 heart rate variability (HRV) tracking, a second-generation blood pressure monitoring system and a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) blood sugar sensor. Safety additions include crash detection and an alert that triggers if the device stops detecting a pulse, indicating possible cardiac arrest.

Positioning is handled by the high-precision Honor Polaris system, which uses a dual-frequency, three-antenna design for stable reception even within dense urban environments. The watch supports up to 21 hours of continuous position tracking.

Compared with the Honor Watch 5 Pro, the key upgrades are all-day HRV tracking, blood sugar monitoring, cardiac arrest detection and the dual-layer OLED panel.

Battery, sports modes and pricing

The 500mAh cell delivers up to 7 days of use with Always On Display enabled, or around 4 days with all health-tracking features active. In maximum battery mode, endurance extends to 18 days.

Sports options include Trail Running Mode, Professional Badminton Mode and Professional Football Mode. The watch can also be taken swimming, with the display designed to respond to wet fingers.

The stainless steel body is standard across the range, while some versions use a two-tone ceramic design sintered onto the metal at 1,400°C for greater durability than painted finishes. Five colour and strap combinations are available.

In China, the stainless steel version is on pre-order for CNY 1,600 (around £180), while the sintered ceramic version is priced at CNY 1,800 (around £200).
