IFA 2026 in Berlin has once again become the stage where the future of consumer technology is on display, with AI-powered appliances, repairable devices and camera-equipped machines taking centre stage. From a dishwasher that inspects your dishes to earbuds that transcribe your conversations, the show floor is packed with gadgets that could reshape how we live, clean, work and rest.
Below are some of the standout devices spotted at this year’s event.
Appliances that see and think
Miele’s new Diamond G8 dishwasher features an AI-powered internal camera that scans your dishes and determines the optimal wash cycle, aiming to ensure no spot is missed. The appliance can also be set to run only when electricity is cheapest, waiting for the hours when power costs less before beginning its cycle.
Cleaning innovation extends to the floor with iRobot’s Roomba Max 875 Combo. Robot vacuums have historically offered less suction than traditional models, so iRobot has introduced SealForce technology, which allows the vacuum to seal itself to carpet for stronger suction on areas needing extra attention. The approach has been likened to pressing harder with a conventional vacuum to thoroughly clean a specific patch, but delivered in a robotic format.
Wearables that listen and pay
Plaud has moved beyond its note-taking wearable pin and credit card-shaped device with the launch of the Plaud One earbuds, designed to capture and transcribe conversations and calls. Users can address the built-in AI assistant by saying “Hey Plaud” before asking questions or issuing commands. It is worth noting that recording phone calls without the permission of all participants can be illegal in some jurisdictions, so informing others that a recording device is in use is advisable.
Smart rings are also gaining new capabilities. Circular has added contactless payments, a feature usually reserved for smartwatches and smartphones, to its subscription-free Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim. Both rings include the health-tracking functions expected of the category, along with haptic vibration alerts, advanced sleep metrics, glucose trend estimates and access to the company’s AI health tools.

Beyond these highlights, IFA 2026 has showcased a broad range of upgraded and AI-enhanced devices, including Dyson’s largest air purifier to date, a repairable laptop and a speaker designed to help users drift off to sleep. The event, one of the world’s largest technology gatherings, continues to draw manufacturers eager to demonstrate how connected and intelligent everyday products are becoming.
