Apple TV is preparing to launch a new heist drama titled “12 12 12”, with the cryptically-named series set to debut in the autumn of 2026. The project brings together Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan in leading roles for a story built around an ambitious European robbery.
A Story Told Across Three Timelines
The premise of “12 12 12” unfolds across three separate timelines connected to the heist. The narrative covers the 12 months required to plan the operation, the 12 hours of the heist itself, and the 12 days that follow. This structure gives the drama its distinctive title and shapes how the events are presented to viewers.
At the centre of the plot is a raid on a bank vault located beneath the streets of Zurich. The setting places the action firmly within Europe, with the characters moving across the continent as the story develops.
Mackie and Dornan Take the Lead
Emmy Award nominee Anthony Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent, while Critics’ Choice Awards nominee Jamie Dornan takes on the role of an American career criminal. The two performers drive a zero-sum game of cat-and-mouse that plays out across Europe, with each character pitted against the other throughout the course of the drama.
The dynamic between the pair anchors the series, framing the pursuit around the Zurich vault raid and the tension that builds across the planning, execution and aftermath of the heist.
The series is scheduled to arrive on Apple TV in autumn 2026.
