Poco X8 and X8 Power marketing materials have surfaced online, offering an early look at the specifications of both handsets ahead of their expected debut. The leaked slides suggest the two devices are closely related to existing Redmi models, with the X8 appearing to be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro and the X8 Power resembling a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. Only minor differences separate the Poco variants from their counterparts.
The materials arrived shortly after a separate claim indicated the X8 Power would arrive with a sizeable battery, and the newly shared documents appear to confirm several of the key details.
Poco X8 specifications
According to the leaked slides, the Poco X8 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 3,500-nit peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Imaging duties are handled by a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, paired with a 16MP selfie camera.
The handset is said to carry a 9,000 mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The X8 is expected to hold IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Poco is reportedly set to promise four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
Poco X8 Power specifications
The Poco X8 Power shares the same display and main camera as the standard model. It adds an 8MP ultrawide camera and steps up to a 32MP selfie camera. The device is tipped to include a 10,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging, alongside the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
Its dust and water resistance ratings match those of the X8, as does the software support commitment. Both handsets are expected to be more affordable than the Poco X8 Pro.
The leak indicates the Poco X8 and X8 Power will launch in India by early September, placing their arrival in the near term.
