Plaud One Explorer Edition: AI Earbuds That Record and Summarise - Plaud One earbuds
The Plaud One Explorer Edition AI earbuds record, transcribe and summarise conversations, with 4G in the case and up to six hours of recording.

Plaud has unveiled a new AI wearable designed to record, transcribe and summarise conversations, this time taking the form of earbuds rather than a wearable pin. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be worn like traditional earbuds or operated through its standalone charging case, expanding how users capture spoken interactions throughout the day.

The charging case includes built-in 4G connectivity, allowing conversations to be uploaded and processed without depending on a paired phone or a Wi-Fi network. This gives the device a degree of independence that sets it apart from wearables that require a smartphone to remain connected.

Recording and Storage Features

Each earbud features 16MB of local storage, providing a combined total of 32MB across the pair. Every earbud is fitted with three microphones capable of capturing audio at a distance of up to two metres, which supports recording during meetings, discussions and other in-person exchanges.

According to Plaud, the earbuds can record for up to six hours, which also represents the maximum estimated battery life for the device. This positions the Explorer Edition as a tool aimed at extended note-taking and conversation capture rather than short, occasional use.

Design and Everyday Use

The dual-purpose design is central to the appeal of the Plaud One. Users can insert the earbuds when a more discreet, worn approach is preferred, or rely on the case for hands-free recording in stationary settings. The combination of on-device storage and cellular processing means transcription and summarisation can take place without additional hardware nearby.

Plaud has built its identity around AI-driven recording products, and the shift towards an earbuds form factor reflects a broader move to integrate these capabilities into more familiar, everyday accessories. By pairing microphones with local storage and 4G, the company aims to make continuous conversation capture more practical for professionals and note-takers who need reliable records of what is said.

The Plaud One Explorer Edition brings together transcription, summarisation and recording within a single wearable package, with three microphones per earbud and up to six hours of recording time.
