The Motorola Moto Pad 70 has arrived as the third entry in the Moto Pad 70 series, following the Moto Pad 70 Pro in June and the Moto Pad 70 Groove. Positioned as a premium tablet balancing portability, productivity, creativity and entertainment, it is billed by the Lenovo-owned company as the thinnest and lightest 5G tablet currently available.
The device measures 6.49mm thick, with the Wi-Fi variant coming in slightly slimmer at 6.29mm. It weighs 530g and offers 5G connectivity, alongside voice call support for those who wish to use it beyond typical tablet duties.
Display, performance and battery
At the front sits a 12.1in 90Hz LCD panel with a 2,560×1,600-pixel resolution, 800 nits of brightness and stylus support. Powering the tablet is the Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A dedicated microSD card slot allows expansion up to 2TB.
The 10,200 mAh battery supports 45W charging, though the tablet ships with a 68W power adapter in the box. Additional features include an IP52 rating, quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, a USB-C port, dual microphones and keyboard support.
Software, cameras and pricing
The Moto Pad 70 runs Android 16 out of the box, with a planned upgrade to Android 17 to follow. Motorola states the device will receive security updates for three years. It also arrives with AI Rewrite, AI Summary and AI Continue Writing features, designed to make fuller use of the included Moto Pen stylus.
For imaging, there is a 13MP camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. The tablet carries a metal design and comes in a single Pantone Sea Angel colour, with two memory configurations: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
Motorola has confirmed the launch price of the 256GB model at INR33,999, or roughly £300. The Moto Pen is bundled in the box, while the Moto Folio keyboard is sold separately. The 256GB model goes on sale in India from 15 August through Motorola’s Indian website, Flipkart and leading retail stores across the country.
