The Auction Sale
The Ferrari Luce “Tailor Made” went under the hammer at the RM Auction in Monterey, California, late on Sunday. The car carried the chassis number 0, marking it out as the first of its kind, and was a highlight sale for the event.
As Ferrari’s inaugural production electric vehicle, the Luce arrives as manufacturers across the industry expand into the electric vehicle market. The sale of chassis number 0 places a firm figure on the value collectors are prepared to assign to the model, with the winning bid reaching approximately £31 million.
