Grokipedia, the AI-powered rival to Wikipedia built by SpaceXAI, has rolled out a v0.3 update that introduces a redesigned look, a new logo and refreshes to its homepage and live edits page. The platform has also begun incorporating edits once more, following a lengthy period without changes. SpaceXAI head of design Benji Taylor described the result as a “newly refreshed Grokipedia”.
A Reworked Homepage and Live Edits Page
The previous homepage was sparse, consisting of little more than a logo and a search bar. The updated version adds a list of featured articles, a list of the most-read articles and a tracker displaying the latest edits. The featured list presents digital representations of books that users can spin around, while the most-read section applies the same book metaphor through a horizontally scrolling shelf of “book” spines.
The live edits page has also been reworked, making it easier to view more of the recent changes at once. Together, the changes mark a clear shift away from the minimal layout that defined the site at launch.
Article Pages and Platform History
Individual article pages carry a handful of design tweaks as well. The tables at the top of articles, which hold key facts, now use a cleaner format, and the spacing between lines of text has been reduced. Beyond those adjustments, the articles themselves appear largely unchanged.
Grokipedia first launched as v0.1 in late October 2025, populated with AI-cloned pages drawn from Wikipedia, with a v0.2 update following a month later. The project then appeared to stall. A report published in August stated that no entry had changed in more than three months, suggesting development had paused entirely.
The recent updates indicate renewed activity around the project within SpaceXAI. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the v0.3 update.
