The Google Pixel 11 series is now available to pre-order, with sales beginning on 20 August. Google has introduced four new handsets this week: a standard model, two Pro variants and one foldable. The only gap in the line-up is an affordable a-series phone, which is yet to arrive.
Rising RAM costs have shaped the new range. All 11-series models now come with 256GB of storage as standard, but the Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL start with 12GB of RAM. Buyers who want 16GB must opt for the 512GB or 1TB configurations. The vanilla model is fitted with 12GB of RAM, while the foldable always ships with 16GB. During the pre-order period, Amazon is offering a trade-in bonus on top of the value of an old device.
What each Pixel 11 model offers
The standard Google Pixel 11 uses the same Tensor G6 chipset as the pricier models, though it lacks the HiLight RGB LED. It carries a larger 48MP main camera sensor (1/1.56”) than the Pixel 10, while keeping the 5x/112mm 10.8MP telephoto and 13MP ultra-wide cameras unchanged. Wireless charging via Pixelsnap has risen to 25W, up from 15W, while wired charging stays at 30W. Battery capacity is unchanged, with Google relying on the more efficient G6 chip to extend runtime.
The Pixel 11 Pro includes the HiLight RGB LED next to the rear cameras, which acts as a notification light and is used by Gemini AI. It has a 6.3” LTPO OLED display, the same size as the vanilla model but sharper at 1280p+. Battery capacity and 30W wired charging match last year, while wireless charging rises to 25W. The Pro carries a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.3” sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide with autofocus, and a revised 48MP telephoto with a 1/1.95” sensor and a 5x/106mm lens.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL is a larger version of the Pro, featuring a 6.8” 1334p+ LTPO display and a 5,115mAh battery. That capacity is 85mAh smaller than the 10 Pro XL. It supports 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, with wired speeds marginally improved, reaching 75% in half an hour compared with 70% previously.
Pixel 11 Pro Fold and trade-in bonuses
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, measuring 10.1mm folded and 5.0mm unfolded, and weighing 239g. That is a clear improvement over the 10 Pro Fold, which measured 10.8mm folded, 5.2mm unfolded, and weighed 258g.
For the Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Amazon is offering an additional bonus of around £85 when an old Pixel is traded in. Those sending in another brand can still receive a bonus of roughly £340. The smaller Pro model is not covered by this additional offer.
