Cricket 5G Home Internet is now officially live, allowing the prepaid carrier to cover home Wi-Fi alongside a phone line, all running on AT&T’s network. New customers can bundle both for around £59 a month, whether they are using a phone sold by Cricket Wireless or a brand-new iPhone 18 Pro.
Cricket announced the service in September 2026, following the same no-contract, taxes-included approach the carrier already uses for its phone plans. Availability is checked address by address at participating Cricket stores.
What Cricket 5G Home Internet includes
The service brings AT&T’s network into the home through a gateway that connects to the same 5G network used by Cricket’s phone plans. It comes with unlimited data, meaning no data cap for streaming, gaming or browsing, although Cricket may slow speeds when the network is busy.
Angela Rittgers, President of Cricket Wireless, said customers are looking for fast, reliable internet that is simple to buy, easy to understand, and backed by a brand they trust, describing the offering as removing complexity to deliver value.
The rollout follows earlier moves by AT&T to turn Cricket stores into home internet storefronts, with a Cricket Internet brand expected to arrive later in 2026.
How it compares with rival prepaid options
Cricket is not the first prepaid carrier to try this. T-Mobile brought prepaid 5G home internet to Metro by T-Mobile stores in March 2022. Metro now charges around £35 a month with AutoPay, provided the customer’s Metro phone plan has been active for 30 days or more.
On Verizon’s network, Total Wireless also sells prepaid home internet, but it requires a router costing roughly £79. Cricket’s gateway costs around £39, roughly half the upfront cost.
Home internet delivered over 5G depends heavily on how strong the signal is at each address, so the network that already performs well at a given location tends to be the better choice.
Conditions to check before bundling
The service is likely to appeal most to Cricket customers wanting an alternative to a cable bill, or those living somewhere with few home internet options, since it offers one more choice at a fixed monthly price. However, the pricing comes with conditions.
The lower monthly add-on price of around £35 applies only with at least one Cricket voice-and-data line on the same account, plus AutoPay. The bundle priced at around £59 includes the Sensible 10GB phone plan, and customers will need to buy the gateway.
Cricket 5G Home Internet runs on AT&T’s network, with availability confirmed on an address-by-address basis at participating stores.
