CMF Buds Neo: Nothing Confirms 20 August Launch Date

CMF Buds Neo: Nothing Confirms 20 August Launch Date
The CMF Buds Neo from Nothing launch on 20 August, with three colour options, a smart dial charging case and a budget-focused design.

The CMF Buds Neo are set to arrive far sooner than many anticipated, with Nothing’s budget sub-brand confirming a swift release. Shortly after launching the CMF Clip Pro and teasing a new product, the company has now revealed its next pair of earbuds.

The move follows a recent teaser from the CMF sub-brand, which hinted at a fresh audio product earlier in the week. Nothing has since shared additional details on its X profile, disclosing both the name and the announcement date.

CMF Buds Neo confirmed for 20 August

The CMF Buds Neo will be announced on 20 August. Alongside the name and date, the company published a teaser video offering a first glimpse of the charging case. In keeping with other CMF audio products, the case appears to feature a smart dial, though its specific functions have not been detailed.

The video may also have hinted at the available colour options. There appear to be three combinations on offer: white and orange, black and blue, and black and black. Based on the earlier teaser, each combination relates to the colour of the stem and the silicone ear tip. An initial image showed a white earbud paired with an orange ear tip.

That same earlier image indicated the presence of at least two microphones and a circular design element, most likely representing a touch control zone. This styling echoes earlier CMF models, such as the Buds 2 series.

A budget-focused release

Choosing the Neo moniker marks an unusual step, as neither Nothing nor CMF has previously launched a product under that name. Apple, by contrast, introduced the MacBook Neo earlier in the year.

While the naming may draw inspiration from that launch, the CMF Buds Neo are unlikely to resemble any AirPods model. Pricing remains a key point of interest, given that the company’s previous products have all sat firmly within the budget category.

Earlier CMF audio releases have been well received, with the CMF Buds 2 and CMF Buds 2 Plus both praised for offering strong value and impressive sound quality relative to their price. The rapid turnaround between teaser and announcement suggests full details of the CMF Buds Neo will be available shortly.
