Apple TV has released the first trailer for “Last Seen,” its forthcoming Australian thriller starring Patrick Brammall, ahead of the series premiere on 9 September 2026.

The series follows police detective Ian Ridley, whose daughter vanished 11 years ago without a trace. A distress call from a teenage girl then convinces Ridley that she may be Maggie, renewing his search for his missing daughter. The story is based on the book “The Dispatcher” by CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning author Ryan David Jahn.

Premiere Schedule and Trailer

The first two episodes will premiere on Wednesday 9 September, with new episodes released every Wednesday through to 7 October. Apple TV has also shared a two-minute trailer for the series on its YouTube channel.

Gotham Award winner Patrick Brammall leads the cast as Ridley. He is joined by Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Chloe Jean Lourdes, Zahra Newman, Maxine Peake and Jessica Wren.

Production Details

“Last Seen” was filmed entirely in Victoria, Australia. Kris Mrksa adapted the novel and served as an executive producer, while Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow directed and executive produced the series.

The title joins Apple’s expanding roster of thrillers, which includes the workplace psychological thriller Severance, recently acquired by Apple in an ownership transfer valued at roughly £55 million.
