Shortcuts Automation problems reported
A number of iPhone users have reported that the iOS 26.6 update broke Shortcuts Automation. The feature allows an iPhone to carry out a series of actions triggered by specific conditions, such as arriving at a particular location, opening a specific app, reaching a set time of day, or the device hitting a certain battery level.
The Shortcuts app bug is widely thought to be the reason behind the development of iOS 26.6.1, and installing the forthcoming update may repair the flaw. iOS 27 stable release expected in September

The stable version of iOS 27 is expected to arrive in the middle of September 2026, timed so that new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max units can be updated to the software before they go on sale. That line-up would also include the iPhone Ultra.
The first foldable iPhone might be unveiled in September but not released until as late as November, echoing the pattern of the iPhone X. That model was introduced on 12 September 2017 but did not go on sale until 3 November 2017, a delay caused by issues with several components.
