The details emerged from the macOS 26.7 release candidate build, which inadvertently exposed information about several forthcoming Apple products. Alongside references to a camera-equipped version of AirPods, the code included material relating to the company’s upcoming Home Hub, an AI-focused device said to run an operating system resembling tvOS.
Personalised profiles through ambient sensing
The most significant revelation is that the Home Hub will seemingly support individual user accounts. Rather than relying solely on manual sign-ins, the device is expected to recognise different household members through ambient sensing combined with its integrated cameras. This approach would allow the hub to tailor its responses and displayed content to whichever person is present.
