The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max has been unveiled as the company’s latest flagship tablet, arriving alongside the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The device is built around a sizeable 13.3-inch LCD panel with a 3408×2272 resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1,000 nits.
At the heart of the tablet sits Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chip, the same silicon found inside the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Buyers can choose between 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, alongside storage options spanning 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Imaging duties fall to a 50MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation, while a 32MP front sensor handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and charging credentials
Powering the slate is a substantial 12,000 mAh battery, which supports 120W wired charging. The tablet also offers 27W reverse wired charging and 45W pogo pin reverse charging, allowing it to top up compatible accessories. Software comes courtesy of Android 17, layered with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4.
The Pad 9 Pro Max is equipped with eight speakers and six microphones, positioning it as a device suited to media consumption and productivity alike. It measures 296.2 x 203.08 x 5.67 mm and tips the scales at 645g. A separate Matte Glass edition is also available, weighing marginally more at 653g.
Pricing and availability
Pricing for the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max opens at CNY 4,799 (around £570) for the 8/256GB configuration. The 12/256GB variant is priced at CNY 5,299 (around £630), while the 16/256GB model comes in at CNY 5,799 (around £690). Those seeking additional storage can opt for the 12/512GB version at CNY 6,099 (around £725) or the 16/512GB tier at CNY 6,599 (around £785).
The Matte Glass edition arrives in two configurations. The 16/512GB version is listed at CNY 6,899 (around £820), while the range-topping 16GB/1TB model is priced at CNY 7,899 (around £940). It remains unclear whether Xiaomi intends to release the Pad 9 Pro Max in international markets beyond China.
