The Trump Mobile T1 Phone, announced with considerable fanfare last year, went on sale this June for the equivalent of roughly £370. Buyers who secured one at that price did well, because the handset has since received a sharp and quietly applied increase, now reaching around £560.
The revised figure represents a 50% price rise over the launch cost. Given that the device is essentially an HTC model from 2024 finished in a gold paint job and carrying a Trump logo, the higher price is a difficult one to justify for anyone other than the most dedicated supporters.
What the T1 Phone offers
Numerous better-specified handsets are available for the same outlay or less. As a reminder of the hardware, the Trump Mobile T1 Phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Storage stands at 512GB.
On the imaging side, the device carries a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. A 50MP selfie camera handles front-facing duties. Power comes from a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 30W wired charging.
Software and value considerations
The handset ships with Android 15. There has been no indication of any planned software updates, so buyers should assume the device will not receive them. That leaves the phone facing an uncertain long-term support outlook while carrying a substantially higher price tag than at launch.
The T1 Phone first became available in June for approximately £370, and the current asking price of around £560 places it in direct competition with a wide field of rivals offering stronger specifications for comparable money. The 50% increase applies to the same hardware that was on sale earlier in the year, with no accompanying changes to the device itself.
