Samsung Galaxy A57 buyers face higher costs after the company quietly raised the prices of its entire affordable A-series line-up in the United States. The increases arrived on Samsung’s official US website within a 48-hour window, following similar hikes applied to the flagship Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
The latest adjustments affect budget-friendly Android mid-rangers that were already launched at higher recommended prices than their predecessors. Every Galaxy A-series model released stateside over the past year has become more expensive.
The full list of Galaxy A-series price increases
The Galaxy A57 5G now costs roughly £450 with 128GB of storage, up from around £410, while the 256GB version rises to about £510 from £460. The Galaxy A37 5G with 128GB moves to approximately £370 from £340, and its 256GB variant climbs to around £460 from £410.
The Galaxy A27 5G with 128GB now sits at roughly £285, up from about £265. The entry-level Galaxy A17 5G with 128GB has increased to around £205 from £190.
The entry-level model has seen the sharpest rise
Although the £20-equivalent increase on the Galaxy A17 5G may appear modest, the handset originally made its US commercial debut at around £150 in January. That list price was later raised to approximately £190, and this further increase means the device is now roughly 35 percent more expensive than at its regional release nine months earlier.
The 6.7-inch notched Galaxy A17 5G faces strong competition from rivals such as Motorola’s Moto G Power (2025) and the Moto G Stylus (2025). The Galaxy A57, A37, and A27 also contend with a crowded budget 5G segment heading into the 2026 holiday shopping period.
Among the alternatives, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro starts only around £8 higher than the Galaxy A37 5G and roughly £75 lower than the Galaxy A57 5G. It features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, fast charging support, and a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.
For those seeking a compact device by 2026 standards, the Motorola Edge (2026) is priced at approximately £450. The 6.7-inch Edge (2025), meanwhile, is currently available at a reduced price of around £265 with complimentary wireless earbuds included.
