Mark Wahlberg is heading to TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, where the actor and entrepreneur will take part in a fireside chat focused less on his film career and more on his investing ambitions. Wahlberg will sit down with Bruce K. Lee, Founder and CEO of Keebeck Wealth Management, on the main stage to discuss his progression from Hollywood to business.
Wahlberg broke out in 1997’s “Boogie Nights” and has since assembled one of the most recognisable careers in Hollywood, earning two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe nod for “The Fighter”, and multiple Emmy nominations as a producer, including HBO’s “Entourage”. His filmography spans crime dramas, comedies, and action blockbusters. He currently appears in “By Any Means”, a manhunt thriller set during the 1966 Mississippi civil rights killings.
From Hollywood to business venture
Acting is only part of the picture. Over the past two decades, Wahlberg has built a production company, a restaurant chain, apparel and fitness ventures, and a slate of angel investments. He also founded the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, now 25 years old, which supports inner-city children and teenagers. He has used his Hollywood success to launch major projects well beyond the film business, and his Disrupt session will offer a look at how.
Building an investing mindset
Having relied largely on entrepreneurial instinct about people, culture, products, and markets, Wahlberg is now developing institutional-level investing discipline with Lee as his guide, and with a growing focus on healthcare and wellness startups. The conversation is set to provide an unvarnished look at how someone with his cultural intelligence has worked his way into sophisticated business and finance circles.
The discussion will cover where high-profile entertainers and athletes sometimes get it wrong, with Wahlberg candid about having had to unlearn some of his own old instincts. It will also address how he has used the trust built over his career to drive access and deal flow, and which technologies he is most focused on now and why.

Wahlberg and Lee will appear on the Disrupt Stage alongside more than 250 of tech’s leading figures across over 200 sessions covering what it takes to build a viable startup and shape the next generation of innovation. The event runs from 13 to 15 October, when more than 10,000 tech leaders will gather at San Francisco’s Moscone West.
