The Huawei Pura X View has been fully unveiled, with the company confirming complete specifications, pricing and a release date after offering only a partial preview last month. The device stands out for its distinctive form factor and a comprehensive hardware sheet aimed at the premium segment.
Display and design
The Pura X View features a 6.39-inch OLED panel with a 1320×2232 resolution, a 16:9.5 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate and 6,500-nit peak brightness at 1% APL. The screen is protected by Kunlun Glass and supports 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Symmetrical bezels measure 1.05mm on all four sides.
The handset carries an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, and includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also supports BeiDou satellite messaging. Buyers can choose from black, white, gray and red finishes.
Cameras, performance and battery
At the rear sits a 200MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture, OIS and an 88mm-equivalent focal length. Selfies are handled by a 50MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Powering the phone is the Kirin 9030S chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. A 7,000 mAh battery supports 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, plus reverse wired and reverse wireless charging. The device runs HarmonyOS 7.
Pricing and availability
The Pura X View starts at CNY 5,999 (around £670) for the 256GB model, rising to CNY 6,999 (around £780) for the 512GB variant and topping out at CNY 8,499 (around £950) for the 1TB configuration. The phone is currently available for pre-order and goes on sale on 9 September at 10:08 AM local time in China. There is no confirmation on whether the device will reach other markets.
