Girl Scout cookies are set to expand their appeal in 2026, with two new varieties designed for groups who may not have been able to enjoy the classic treats before: people with dietary restrictions, and dogs.
Although Girl Scout cookie season does not begin until January, the organisation has confirmed the arrival of two fresh options. Both new varieties will be sold exclusively online, meaning they cannot be ordered through a local troop or store. Shipping will begin when the season launches on 12 January, and shoppers can sign up now to receive a reminder ahead of that date.
Sparkables: an allergy-friendly option
Sparkables are a crunchy oatmeal cookie featuring chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles. Formulated to be nut-free, gluten-free and vegan, they are intended to bring people with food allergies into the cookie season for the first time.
Developed in partnership with Partake Foods, the cookies contain whole-grain oats, organic brown sugar, semisweet chocolate chips, cassava flour, oat flour and white rice flour, among other ingredients. The complete ingredient list is available online.
Patch Pals: treats for dogs
Patch Pals are soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavoured treats made specifically for dogs. Created in collaboration with pet-product company Bark, the treats feature four designs representing iconic Girl Scout patches.
The dog treats are intended for pups weighing more than 5 pounds and aged over six months. Nutritional information and further details are available online.
