US President Donald Trump has announced plans to create a new AI Force and appoint an AI czar to lead it, in a move that underscores his administration’s determination to accelerate rather than restrain the development of the technology.
Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump said his administration “will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry.” He added that the government would instead “cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows.”
