A newly surfaced image has offered the clearest look yet at the iPhone 18 Pro colour options expected to arrive at launch. The picture shows the SIM trays of the iPhone 18 Pro models in the three shades that will be available when the devices go on sale.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside the foldable iPhone Ultra, are only days away from release. The standard iPhone 18 and a possible iPhone Air 2 are not covered by the leak, as both models are reported to launch early next year alongside the iPhone 18e.
A return for black?
Black has long been among the most popular smartphone colours worldwide, yet it was absent from the iPhone 17 Pro range. The leaked image suggests one of the new shades could mark a comeback, though the SIM tray on the far left may instead point to a grey option. There is also a slight possibility it represents silver, a colour that reports had claimed was cancelled for the iPhone 18 Pro.
The lack of a black option did not appear to hold back the iPhone 17 series, which ranked among the best-selling phones of 2026. That position held even in the second quarter of the year, when the Samsung Galaxy S26 range had already arrived.
Dark Cherry joins the line-up
The standout new shade this year is described in leaks as Dark Cherry, a softer successor to last year’s bolder Cosmic Orange. Public reception has been mixed so far, though the shade may win over buyers in a similar way to the iPhone 17 Pro redesign.
The three colours revealed in the image give prospective buyers their first detailed impression of what to expect across the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max ahead of the imminent launch.
