The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 has received its first significant price reduction, with £200 knocked off the list price across both storage configurations. The deal applies to the handset directly, with no obligatory trade-ins or carrier activations required to qualify.
The foldable stands as Samsung’s most successful device of its kind in many key global markets, and the fresh discount arrives as the wider foldable category faces renewed competition. The saving mirrors an earlier reduction applied to the larger and more expensive Z Fold 8 Ultra, extending the price cut to the standard model for the first time.
What the discount covers
The £200 saving represents roughly 13 per cent off the recommended price and is available on both the 256GB and 512GB variants. In its original US pricing, the handset launched at EUR 1,635 and EUR 1,807 for the two storage tiers, which convert to approximately £1,500 and £1,660 respectively before the reduction is applied.
Crucially, buyers are not required to meet any special conditions to claim the offer. There are no compulsory device trade-ins and no upfront activations tied to specific networks. The discount is applied to the phone itself, rather than being offered as credit towards a future purchase or a separate product.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 7.6-inch main AMOLED display alongside a 5.5-inch AMOLED cover screen. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with 12GB of RAM, and carries a dual 50MP rear camera setup. Battery capacity is rated at 4,800mAh.
At launch the device was praised for its sensible form factor, lightweight body, substantial raw performance and respectable battery life. The discount currently appears at a single major retailer, though comparable reductions on related foldable models have previously extended to Samsung’s own online store, occasionally accompanied by additional incentives such as a complimentary accessory or accessory credit.
The reduction marks the first time the standard Z Fold 8 has been available below its original list price since it went on sale.
