Meta Muse is receiving a series of updates that make the AI agent more capable and expand the ways in which users can interact with it. The company is iterating quickly on its recently launched assistant, adding new communication channels and broader task-handling abilities in 2026.
New email addresses for Muse agents
One of the headline changes is that Muse agents are gaining their own dedicated email addresses. These addresses can be used by the agent to carry out tasks on a user’s behalf. In addition, users will be able to communicate directly with their Muse agent through those same email addresses, providing an alternative to the existing chat-based interaction.
The update points to a more autonomous role for the assistant, with email serving both as a tool for completing actions and as a channel for ongoing conversation between the user and the agent.
Video chat and expanded Mac capabilities
Meta is also introducing video calls as a further way to interact with Muse. Since its launch, the primary method of talking to the agent has been through a chat interface. The addition of video chat gives users a more direct and conversational means of engaging with the assistant.
Alongside these communication upgrades, the recently launched Muse Mac app is set to gain the ability to use the computer itself. This suggests the agent will be able to take actions across a user’s system rather than remaining confined to a single conversation window, extending its usefulness for practical tasks on desktop.
Together, the updates broaden how people can reach and rely on Muse, moving it beyond a text-only assistant towards one that can be contacted by email, spoken to over video, and put to work directly on a Mac.
